hi, i'm julia!

 

i was born and raised in northern california, but am currently crafting this from my little cottage studio in san diego.

i'm working on my debut novel, an lgbt young adult murder mystery set in sacramento. AHHH!!! I'M EXTREMELY EXCITED ABOUT IT!!!!!

 

i read widely, but my heart gravitates towards ya fiction, particularly mysteries. i think it's because of how impacted i was by the books i read in high school. i think about them still to this day, and i want to write something my younger self would've died to read.​

when i am not writing, i'm usually walking my dog alani, surfing, or spending time with the people i love. this is a terribly basic and boring bio. sorry. i promise my book will be a thousand times better. xo
